Safety Mission

TIRE SAFETY

Tires are the only part of a vehicle that come into contact with the road, and the spot where each tire meets the road is relatively small—approximately the size of a post card. When you think about that, it’s clear how important it is to properly maintain your tires. Learn more about maintenance, repair and choosing the right tires for your vehicle and driving habits.

SAFETY HONORS

Our tires are the only tire plants to have received OSHA’s highest honor. Nine Bridgestone and Firestone facilities have earned Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) STAR status (OSHA’s highest honor). In addition to awards for quality and safety from major automotive manufacturers in the state, we are a six-time recipient of the TN Governor’s Award for Excellence.

TEENS DRIVE SMART

The Bridgestone Americas, Inc. Teens Drive Smart program is designed to equip young drivers with knowledge and skills to make smarter decisions behind the wheel. By taking part in the Bridgestone Teens Drive Smart Driving Experience, young drivers across the country have the chance to learn potentially life-saving driving skills. The free program pairs classroom instruction with hands-on driving exercises led by highly trained instructors. In addition to teaching practical driving maneuvers, the Teens Drive Smart Driving Experience spotlights the dangers of distracted driving and underscores the importance of proper vehicle maintenance.
