FullForceTM EPDM allows contractors to complete more projects faster; maximizing time and increasing cost savings

Firestone Building Products Company, LLC (FSBP), an industry leader providing trusted roofing and building envelope solutions, today announced the launch of FullForce EPDM, the next evolution of Secure BondTM systems. To debut at the 2019 International Roofing Expo (IRE), FullForce is the industry’s only fully coated, seam-to-seam EPDM SA membrane with Firestone’s patented factory applied Secure Bond pressure-sensitive adhesive and will present significant labor savings.

“FullForce EPDM, equipped with our Secure Bond Technology, exemplifies the Firestone commitment to delivering innovative, reliable solutions that address the challenges our customers face every day. We are confident it will have an impact on how our customers do business, giving contractors higher labor utilization and significant time savings,” said Taylor Cole, president, FSBP. “There is no better time and place to introduce the next evolution of EPDM than the International Roofing Expo — especially when it is in our backyard of Nashville.”

FullForce EPDM can be installed more than four times faster1 than standard adhered EPDM and in temperatures as low as 20 degrees, resulting in the opportunity to complete more jobs and earn more revenue throughout the entire roofing season. It does not require seam tape for installation and contains zero volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making it an ideal system for occupied buildings. FullForce EPDM, available Feb. 11, is Firestone’s exclusive self-adhered EPDM membrane, replacing RubberGard EPDM SA.

While at IRE, FSBP will also showcase additional solutions and programs.

  • NEW Firestone UltraPly™ TPO Flex Adhered: UltraPly TPO Flex Adhered is the most flexible2 TPO on the market, engineered to be more pliable for easier installation on complex roofs, which can lower costs through time savings resulting from ease of installation.
  • GacoFlexTM S4200 and A4271: GacoFlex S4200 has been engineered for improved adhesion when compared to the previous generation Gaco silicone coatings for renewing weathered roofs. The coating creates a durable, seamless membrane and covers 16.7 percent more surface area than three of the leading competitive products. GacoFlex S4200 saves 20 percent of installation time and can extend the installation season when installing in 33 degrees and rising, by removing the primer step (when applicable). GacoFlex S4200 allows contractors to get the most out of their crew and their bucket and comes with the industry leading fire rated performance in approvals. GacoFlex A4271 BleedTrapTM Base Coat for asphalt roofing is a single component, easy to apply water-based sealer that helps preserve the aesthetic and reflectivity of coatings on asphalt roofing systems.
  • GenFlex BuildUp Rewards: Commercial contractors can earn rewards that will help build their business by using GenFlex products to complete their jobs. The contractor with the most GenFlex jobs in 2018 will be awarded at IRE, and FSBP will unveil the grand prize for the 2019 program at its booth.
  • Benefits of Self-Adhered Membranes: David Martiny, FSBP Director of Product Management, and Michelle Benatti, FSBP National Technical Manager, will co-present the benefits of self-adhered membranes and vapor barriers in the commercial roofing industry. Their presentation will take place Feb. 13, 2019, from 9:30 – 11 a.m. CT.
