Garfield, the president and CEO of Bridgestone Americas Inc., broke ground on a skyscraper headquarters in the epicenter of Nashville’s frenzied development boom. And, on the heels of the city’s bruising divisive battle over the proposed Amp bus rapid-transit line, Garfield agreed to lead the latest quest to tackle traffic before it strangles the region’s growth.
