In Canada, Bridgestone, Firestone, Dayton and associate brands and their products are distributed and sold through Bridgestone Canada Inc. (BSCA). These products include passenger, light truck, medium truck, forestry, agricultural and small, medium and large off road tires as well as wholesale retread. Product is sold by BSCA through its network of independent dealers and its retail division GCR Tires & Service. BSCA also operates a tire plant in Joliette, Quebec. Additionally, it is engaged in the sale of building products in Canada through its division Firestone Building Products Canada. BSCA employs approximately 1,550 employees.

Sole Bridgestone tire plant in Canada

Constructed in 1965 as a Firestone plant, the Bridgestone Joliette Plant started its operations in 1966. Specialized in the manufacturing of passenger, SUV and light truck tires, the Joliette Plant has seen its production grow from 3,500 tires a day to more than 17,000 over the years, and in 2014, the plant celebrated the production of its 150 millionth tire.

With 1,300 teammates, the Bridgestone Joliette Plant is the largest private employer of the Lanaudière region. Through the partnership established by the leadership team and the employees’ union, the facility can count on a skilled, creative and motivated team that has the company’s success at heart.

One of the greenest plants within the Bridgestone Group, the Joliette Plant is proud to constantly innovate to ensure a healthy environment for the future generations. It is also committed to participate in the development of the Lanaudière community, both economically and socially.
