Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC (FSIP), a leader in developing technology to eliminate vibration in global transportation, announced today that its Williamsburg, Kentucky, plant recently achieved a safety milestone by working 4 million hours without lost-time injury.
During its 30 years of operations, the Williamsburg FSIP plant has been the recipient of multiple safety and quality awards and certifications, including:
- Five Kentucky Governor’s Safety and Health Awards
- TS16949
- ISO14001

The Williamsburg plant, which employees 500 people, is one of the company’s two manufacturing facilities located in the United States.
FSIP has an established safety program that includes training, evaluation of basic systems, internal audits, and continuous improvement. Employees at the Williamsburg plant participate in annual proactive safety activities that include identifying hidden dangers, behavioral safety observations and safety audits. Daily, monthly and quarterly meetings round out the company’s focus on workplace safety and process safety management.
