Bridgestone Brazil receives Silver National Award for Quality of Life

Bridgestone Brazil Award

Bridgestone Brazil (BSBR) received the Silver National Award for Quality of Life from the Brazilian Quality of Life Association (ABQV) for their Wellbeing program, which promotes a healthy work environment for employees.

The BSBR Wellbeing program was established in 2013 and organizes sporting, cultural, educational and health-focused events, including follow-up for teammates and their dependents who are pregnant.

"Through our Wellbeing program, we developed initiatives that create an increasingly healthy work environment for our employees," said Lucila Del Grande, Executive Director of Human Resources, BSBR. "Recognition from the Brazilian Quality of Life Association is confirmation that we are on the right track for our goals."

More than 70 companies entered their programs for the National Award for Quality of Life. A total of 32 projects went through to the second round and four finalists were selected, including BSBR.

To be eligible for the award, the programs had to be active and implemented for at least two years. Each program was assessed against 11 different criteria, including knowledge of the client and the market; value creation; social responsibility; systemic thinking; leadership and constant goals; organizational learning; vision for the future; a culture of innovation; process and data orientation; development of partnerships; and valuing people.

The ABQV is a national non-profit wellness organization. It joins private and public corporations and professionals from all over Brazil. It was founded in 1995 and connects organizations and communities into a supportive network that stimulate a better status of health and quality of life.
