Bridgestone Aiken PSR Plant

On August 26, 2018, the Bridgestone Aiken PSR Plant celebrated its 20th anniversary. The Aiken County Plant is part of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO), which began operating in 1998. The facility currently employs more than 1,500 people.

The passenger and light truck plant sits on 585 acres, and land not being utilized for manufacturing has been certified as a wildlife habitat by the national Wildlife Habitat Council. The Aiken County Plant is also recognized as an OSHA Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) star site. The VPP Star is awarded to plants that have excellent safety and health management systems and injury rates below the industry national average.

Employees marked the celebration by hosting a family fun day as well as taking a tour of the plant. More than 1,000 employees and their families took the opportunity to tour the facility. Employees then enjoyed a day with carnival rides, games, food and entertainment to mark the occasion.

Please join Bridgestone in congratulating the Aiken County Plant on this important milestone.
