- New locations provide customers with leading Bridgestone and Firestone-brand tires and the most trusted automotive service and technologies.
- The stores continue to hire for automotive technicians, retail sales and other in-store management positions, offering competitive pay and benefits.
- The network of tire and automotive service centers will continue its expansion with nearly 30 additional U.S. locations planned for the second half of the year.
Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas and the largest network of company-owned tire and automotive service centers in the world, announced it has opened 28 new stores in 16 states across the U.S. in the first half of 2021 as part of the company’s continued growth strategy. BSRO plans to open 27 additional stores by the end of this year.
“Amid the challenges brought forward by the COVID-19 pandemic, we were laser focused on accomplishing our retail expansion goals while ensuring first and foremost that our teammates and customers remained safe,” said Marko Ibrahim, President, Bridgestone Retail Operations. “Thanks to the dedication of our team, we are providing more customers than ever before with trusted tire and automotive service, and we look forward to reaching more communities before year’s end.”
BSRO operates more than 2,200 retail locations across the U.S. under the brand names Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus, and Wheel Works. The new locations also helped create more than 250 job opportunities across 16 states, which includes six new locations in Texas and four in Florida. The stores feature new automotive technologies and equipment operated by ASE certified technicians for faster and better auto repairs and a complete customer experience. As part of the Bridgestone Tires4Ward recycling program and maximizing the company’s contribution to a circular economy, used tires removed from service at each of the new locations will have a beneficial next use.
In addition, the new stores support Bridgestone’s national Driving Great Futures partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Ongoing assistance by way of customer donations and teammate volunteerism helps local Boys & Girls Clubs with transportation needs, as well as critical services for kids and teens who are facing food insecurity and digital divides.
Many new stores are now hiring for automotive technicians, retail sales and other in-store management positions. BSRO provides competitive pay and benefits, flexible scheduling, an employee discount and opportunities for employee development and advancement.
