Bridgestone, the world leader in tire manufacture and other diversified products, was recognized by Mazda Mexico Vehicle Operation (MMVO) with the Co-Creation Award for achieving the highest standards of performance and safety for the seventh generation of the Mazda 3.
During the award ceremony that was held within the framework of the MMVO 2019 Annual Suppliers Conference at the Juarez Theater in Guanajuato city, Masahiko Morito, Mazda Executive Vice President, delivered the award to Bridgestone, in recognition of the benefit that the company has contributed to meet market demand.
"We are honored to be recognized by Mazda once again, as this type of award is granted exclusively to those providers whose products comply with strict performance and safety schemes," said Alfonso Zendejas, President and Managing Director of Bridgestone Latin America North, BS-LAN, upon receiving the award.
Bridgestone has built a close relationship as a supplier of Mazda since 2014 when its manufacturing plant started operations in Mexico. By 2019, the tire company will equip models for automobiles and SUVs manufactured in Mexico such as Mazda 2, Mazda 3 and Mazda CX-30.
"This recognition demonstrates that Bridgestone's philosophy of Serving Society with Superior Quality is always present in the company. We are proud of the effort and dedication of the entire team that has been successful and led us to deserve this recognition", Zendejas added.
Bridgestone, as well s the rest of the winning suppliers, was selected by a Mazda Mexico Vehicle Operation global executive team, based on the performance offered over the last year.
