Firestone Industrial Products, LLC (FSIP), an industry leader in driving innovative technology designed to eliminate vibration in global transportation, was recognized with a Global Media Award at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas for its Firestone Ride-Rite™ Air Command wireless kit app. FSIP showcased the app-driven air pressure monitoring and adjustment system at the company’s booth throughout the show.
“We designed the Air Command wireless kit app to meet the needs of customers looking for integrated solutions when it comes to their off-road and anti-vibration needs,” said Graham Brookes, director of technology, FSIP. “For FSIP, receiving a Global Media Award at the SEMA Show is a testament to our dedication to create intelligent technologies and products that make an impact on ride quality, confidence and control.”
The Firestone Ride-Rite wireless Air Command kit app allows customers to modify their air spring settings remote-free from their mobile device. Air springs can be monitored directly from the app, providing customers with an easier solution to control air pressure. The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Command kit 2610 is a single-leveling system that integrates with the app and is designed with a two-wire hookup for easy installation.
The SEMA Global Media Awards Program recognizes companies that manufacture specialty equipment products and accessories that would appeal largely to consumers in countries outside of the United States. In the 2018 program, 30 judges from 19 countries assessed nearly 3,000 products entries before selecting the products that would appeal to consumers in their home countries. FSIP was recognized for its Air Command wireless kit app by Speed and Sound, a publication in South Africa.
“The idea of customization and personalization has been growing throughout the world,” said Linda Spencer, SEMA director of international and government relations. "Our goal is to have media experts from around the world determine which new products are likely to succeed in their home markets. The automotive specialty-equipment market is made up of enthusiasts who are passionate about the hobby, and so it’s exciting to see how their love for cars, trucks and SUVs is impacting those throughout the world.”
