Bridgestone Discusses the Path Forward During 2017 Environmental Leader Conference

Jim DeMouy, Vice President of Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS), Bridgestone Americas, discussed  Bridgestone’s commitment to the environment at the Environmental Leader Conference held in Denver, Colorado on June 9 during the panel discussion titled “The Path Forward for Environmental and Energy Management: New solutions in a swiftly changing corporate landscape.”

During the panel discussion, DeMouy and other senior-level executives from Xerox and Walmart addressed both the challenges their industries face today and the opportunities for growth and improvement for environmental and energy management as the corporate landscape evolves.

In March, Bridgestone Corporation announced a refined global corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, Our Way to Serve, centered around three priority areas: Mobility, People, and Environment.

“Our Way to Serve will further Bridgestone’s contributions to creating a sustainable society by balancing our operations with nature and improving energy management and greenhouse gas reduction from our operations and products,” said DeMouy.

At the conference, Business Sector Media also recognized DeMouy for his environmental expertise, naming him one of the Top 50 Environmental Leaders of 2016.

DeMouy is responsible for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability strategic and operational leadership at Bridgestone Americas. He leads and directs all environmental, sustainability, health, and safety-related activities for the strategic business units.
