Speedco, a national provider of on-highway preventive maintenance and tire service to the commercial trucking industry, today celebrated the grand opening of a new retail store location in Spokane, Washington. Local dignitaries, members of the community and Speedco customers attended the event, which culminated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This is the first Speedco location in Spokane and the business’ 52nd store in the U.S.
“We are excited to officially open a Speedco location in Spokane, expanding our network and making preventative maintenance service more readily available in the highly traveled Northwest corridor,” said Chris Ripani, president of Speedco, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (Bridgestone). “Our customers depend on us to deliver the quick lube, tire and service solutions they need to stay on the road, no matter where they are in the U.S. We are committed to delivering consistent, dependable service across all of our locations.”
The new Speedco store is located along I-90 in Spokane, one of the busiest commercial trucking routes in Washington. It will bring industry-leading tire services, quick lubes and other solutions to commercial fleets that regularly use this route. Fifteen jobs have been brought to the region through the new store, including technicians, crew chiefs and management.
Speedco is owned and operated by Bridgestone. As part of today’s grand opening celebration, five-time Olympian and Team Bridgestone athlete Khatuna Lorig signed autographs and interacted with customers and members of the local community.
Speedco also took this opportunity to make a donation to the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation (Make-A-Wish). Speedco is a long-time partner of Make-A-Wish, having raised more than $770,000 for the non-profit organization in the last 10 years.
