New Bridgestone DriveGuard Tire Now Available For Summer Driving Season

DriveGuard tire line allows drivers to travel up to 50 miles at up to 50 mph on a flat

Bridgestone Americas today announced its new line of DriveGuard tires is now available in stores in the U.S. and Canada. Featuring specially designed run-flat technology, DriveGuard tires give drivers the ability to continue driving up to 50 miles (80 kilometers) at maximum speeds of 50 miles (80 kilometers) per hour if a puncture or loss of pressure should occur.

WHAT: DriveGuard tires are available in the United States and Canada for coupes, sedans and wagons with tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), and come with a 50,000 (80,000 kilometers) to 60,000 (100,000 kilometers) mileage treadwear warranty. DriveGuard tires are available in 32 sizes, 15" to 19" rim diameters and 35 to 65 series.  DriveGuard tires may be repaired in certain circumstances depending on tire damage, amount of pressure loss and vehicle operating conditions.
