Employees at the Bridgestone Operations Center (BOC) partnered with the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee (DSAMT) to give back to the Nashville community in a fun way by Crafting for a Cause! BOC employees donated coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, puzzles and books that are put into Sunshine Bags which are given to hospitalized children with disabilities. Employees also made over 100 sensory bags to be included in the Sunshine bags and donated to the DSAMT.

Tammy Crawford, a representative of DSAMT, attended the event at the BOC and commented that Bridgestone is the first business to make crafts and to donate so many items to the DSAMT and the children the organization supports.

The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee is to ensure individuals with Down syndrome are valued for their extraordinary gifts and contributions, empower them to pursue meaningful, included lives by providing education, advocacy, support and community for people with Down syndrome and their families, and serve as a resource for educators, healthcare professionals, employers and the entire Middle Tennessee community.
