Bridgestone announces winners for 2018 CEO Safety Awards

Bridgestone Americas is proud to announce the 2018 CEO Safety Awards winners who go above and beyond to improve safety and health in the workplace.

At Bridgestone, safety is a core business value. We believe in Safety First, Always – as it relates to both our products and our work environment. We strive to maintain safe workplaces for all, while our employees demonstrate our safety mission every day delivering quality products and services to the Boss.

On December 12, 2018, the following sites received the 2018 CEO Safety Awards for exceeding 1 million consecutive working hours without sustaining a single injury to an employee resulting in a missed day from work.

  • Bridgestone Bandag Plant; Campinas, Brazil
  • Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Plant; Santo Andre, Brazil
  • Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Plant; Wilson, North Carolina

And the following site was awarded for reached an impressive 3 million consecutive working hours without sustaining a single injury to a teammate resulting in a missed day from work.

  • Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Plant; Bahia, Brazil

Additionally, Aiken PSR team also achieved 1 million consecutive working hours without a single injury by the end of November 2018.

It takes tremendous dedication and a lot of hard work from the entire team to achieve this result. Congratulations to all employees involved for this extraordinary accomplishment!
