Bridgestone Americas Veterans Organization (BRAVO) recently led another successful community outreach event at Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, located north of downtown Nashville. The event was the fourth community-based event for the Employee Resource Group (ERG), and the third at Second Harvest.

Joe Venezia, President of Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), and Executive Sponsor for BRAVO, attended the event along with 18 other teammate volunteers. The group spent several hours on-site sorting and packing more than 10,000 pounds of food; the equivalent of more than 8,300 individual meals for those in need.

"The event was a great opportunity to give back to our local community and to work alongside a wonderful group of fellow Bridgestone teammate volunteers," said Todd Thiel, Senior Manager, Client Technology and Support, and current BRAVO President.

The Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is one of the largest and most comprehensive of more than 200 food banks and food distribution centers nationwide.
