Santo André Plant celebrates 1 million man hours without a lost-time injury

The Santo André Plant in Brazil is celebrating another important milestone of 1 million man hours worked without a lost-time injury. This achievement was measured according to the total hours worked by all members of the plant.

The Santo André Plant met this important milestone between February and May of this year, and the accomplishment highlights the importance of safety in the workplace. It also underscores the importance of identifying root causes of accidents and incidents in addition to implementing corrective and preventative actions.

A safety-oriented culture has been reinforced at the Santo André Plant through awareness and engagement campaigns such as the "Stop, Call and Wait," leadership training courses in partnership with Daily Safety Dialogues, an external consultancy, and Tyorei performed in plant departments.
