Firestone Industrial Products Williamsburg Plant receives IATF certification

The Firestone Industrial Products (FSIP) manufacturing and production plant in Williamsburg, Kentucky, recently achieved IATF 16949 certification. This certification ensures that a company has met certain quality management system requirements and places an emphasis on defect prevention.

The International Automotive Task Force (IATF) is comprised of a group of automotive manufacturers dedicated to providing products of improved quality to customers worldwide. Recently, IATF certifications transitioned from ISO/TS 16949 to IATF 16949. This certification is a supplement to the ISO 9001 quality certification.

"The Williamsburg Plant attaining this certification is a testament to our dedication to producing quality products from a trusted company," said Brad Marks, Director of Global Operations, FSIP. "With this certification, the Williamsburg Plant joins other FSIP facilities in ensuring they are providing the best products for the Boss and creating a high-quality workplace for our teammates."

In May, FSIP Williamsburg received the Kentucky Governor's Health and Safety Award for achieving 3 million hours worked without a lost-time incident. This celebration was the fifth time the plant has earned this award for achieving this outstanding level of performance.

We are proud of our employees at the FSIP Williamsburg Plant for their dedication to continuous improvement!
