Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) recently partnered with Warm Coats from Warm Hearts and Granny White Church in Nashville, Tennessee, to donate and help collect and distribute nearly 5,000 coats to serve 1,350 families in need. Beginning in early October, community members were invited to drop off new and gently used coats at 30 Firestone Complete Auto Care (FCAC) locations throughout Middle Tennessee.
The coats were distributed to each family in early November, and Bridgestone Retail Operations Region Manager Chuck Bowles was on site to lend a helping hand. "This coat drive serves a real need in the community," said Chuck. "There are many families who rely on the generosity of those who have donated. They take these gently used coats home and wrap them up so that there will be gifts, smiles and—above all—warmth on Christmas morning and throughout the winter months."
