Bridgestone americas veteran's group volunteers at second harvest food bank

In June, joe Venezia, President, BSRO, helped lead another successful community outreach event at Second Harvest Food Bank in Nashville, Tennessee, with Bridgestone Americas Veterans Organization (BRAVO), a veterans' employee resource group. This is the third community outreach event for Joe and the BRAVO team, and the second at Second Harvest.

Joe, along with 15 teammate volunteers from BRAVO, spent three hours sorting and packing more than 8,500 pounds of food – the equivalent of more than 7,100 individual meals. The Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is one of the largest and most comprehensive of more than 200 food banks and food distribution centers nationwide.

"It was a great opportunity to give back to our local community, and to work alongside a great group of Bridgestone teammates," said Mason Fellers, Finance Director, Off-the-Road (OTR).
