Bridgestone, the world’s largest tire and rubber company, is one of the original equipment suppliers for Volvo's top trucks and buses. With the use of the most advanced technologies, the company develops tires with higher load capacity, exceptional traction, more stability and longer life, providing the user with the best cost-benefit option.
Volvo vehicles are manufactured in Curitiba (PR) and marketed domestically and in Latin American countries. Bridgestone supplies the R268 Ecopia that are used on the heavy-duty trucks of the VM, FH and FM lines. The product features shoulders with solid, flat bars, side guard and reinforced bead to achieve even wear, comfort (low noise), and a high retention rate and mileage performance. The R268 Ecopia tire, designed with materials that mitigates rolling resistance, increase energy efficiency and help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, also equips trucks of the FH and FM lines, as well as road buses with the 295/80 R22.5 152/148M size.
Developed to be used on traction axes on short, medium and long-haul paved roads, the M736 are used on the heavy-duty vehicles of the FH and FM truck lines in the 295/80 R22.5 152/148M size and on the VM semi-heavy lines with the 75/80 R22.5 149/146L size. Manufactured with a special rolling compound and reinforced bead, the tire has great adhesion and traction in different conditions and greater resistance to frictions and high retread index.
The M792 Ecopia tire completes Bridgestone’s original equipment that is supplied to Volvo in the 295/80 R22.5 152/148M size and is used on the heavy trucks of the FH and FM lines. The model features a higher number of lateral protections blocks that assists with fuel economy, wet grip, and less noise due to Groove Fence technology.
