The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) recently selected 12 tire industry employees to participate in the second USTMA Tire Manufacturing Ambassador Program in Washington, D.C. in June. Among those selected was Fran, Quality Assurance Officer, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations Wilson Plant.

Frances also had the opportunity to engage with congressional delegates that represent USTMA-member manufacturing facilities around the country. The program included a Tire Manufacturing Ambassador recognition dinner and congressional meetings in the House of Representatives and Senate.

Frances joined Bridgestone Americas in 1988 as a Quality Lab Technician. She advanced her career within the Wilson Plant and has held a variety of leadership roles. During her time as a Tire Engineer, Frances travelled to a Bridgestone plant in Japan to learn run-flat and high rim technology. She was a key player in bringing that technology to Bridgestone North American plants. She received a CEO award, as well as multiple President's Awards for her performance in run-flat tire development.
