The Firestone Building Products (FSBP) Florence, Kentucky, ISO Manufacturing Plant recently received the Kentucky Governor's Health and Safety Award for achieving more than 375,000 hours worked without a lost-time incident. The Kentucky Labor Cabinet presented the award to FSBP employees at the Annual Governor’s Safety and Health Conference and Exposition in Bowling Green, Kentucky, this May.
The Governor’s Health and Safety Award recognizes outstanding safety and health performance and encourages the establishment of programs that enhance this mission and decrease occupational risks. It is awarded to local organizations and their personnel who accomplish the required number of hours worked without experiencing a lost-time injury or illness.
This marks the second consecutive year that the Florence Plant received this prestigious award. As one of the smaller plants in the Bridgestone family, Florence employees worked diligently for more than four years to amass the 375,000 hours without a lost-time incident.
