GCR Tires & Service (GCR), the commercial tire and service network owned and operated by Bridgestone Americas, Inc., today announced the expansion of its operations in the Pacific Northwest. GCR has finalized the acquisition of Tires, Inc., a full-service commercial tire dealer with two store locations in Chehalis and Tumwater, Washington.

As part of the GCR network, both acquired locations will continue to offer a full range of commercial and consumer vehicle services and will feature the complete portfolio of Bridgestone and Firestone products for the commercial trucking, agriculture, construction and mining industries, as well as passenger and light truck. In addition, the Chehalis location will continue to produce Bandag retreads.

“The Pacific Northwest is a rapidly growing region for fleet transportation, and the acquisition of Tires, Inc. will further strengthen our ability to provide best-in-class tires and service to customers in the area,” said Chris Ripani, president, GCR. “GCR is a very important and strategic part of Bridgestone’s overall commercial tire distribution strategy, and the addition of these two store locations will allow us to better meet the emerging needs of fleet customers in this key market.”

With more than 90 stores and 1,500 service vehicles, GCR delivers a consistent customer service experience across its locations and jobsites. GCR technicians are experts in commercial tire and fleet care, providing customized tire and service solutions to keep each customer’s business moving forward, safely and efficiently.

“These store locations have a bright future as part of the GCR network, and I am confident that GCR will take great care of the Tires, Inc. customers and employees,” said Ralph Hubbert, owner, Tires, Inc. “We look forward to continuing to serve customers in the fast-growing Pacific Northwest market as part of the GCR network.”
