Bridgestone Bandag Expands Presence in Southern Rio De Janeiro State

In partnership with A.M. PNEUS, the company opens another retreader unit and exclusive service center for heavy vehicles in Rio de Janeiro

Bridgestone Brazil Bandag retread expands

Bridgestone, the largest tire manufacturer in the world, inaugurated in partnership with A.M. PNEUS, another retreader unit and BTS (Bandag Truck Service) in the southern region of the state of Rio de Janeiro. BTS is a service center dedicated to trucks and buses, where customers find services from new tires to retreading and maintenance. The new store, the third fruit of the commercial relationship between the two companies, is located in the municipality of Barra Mansa. The other units are based in Resende and Volta Redonda.

The partnership with A.M. PNEUS consolidates the business model proposed by Bridgestone Bandag, which differential is the concept Total Tire Life Cycle. "We are the only company in the sector to provide a complete consumer solution. We can control the tire from the beginning of the operation, through the services to increase its useful life and the service of picking, which guarantees "new life" to the tires until their removal and recycling, preserving the environment", explains Marcos Aoki, Commercial Director of Bridgestone.

One of the main advantages of retreading is cost reduction, since a retreaded tire can cost up to 1/3 of the value of a new tire. In this way, fleet of trucks and buses can considerably reduce their expenses. Bridgestone Bandag retreading also provides quality, warranty and durability comparable to the new tires marketed in the market.

BTS Network stores form Brazil's largest service network for trucks and buses. Currently, around 170 branches throughout the country offer highly qualified services for complete vehicle maintenance, optimizing downtime. "We continue our expansion of the BTS Network, opening new units in different regions of Brazil, aiming to offer the full range of Bridgestone Bandag products and services in one place", finishes Aoki.
