Bridgestone Brazil (BSBR) recently donated 375 school supply kits to children who attend the Institute of Sport and Education (Instituto Esporte & Educação) Network center in Santo André. The Institute of Sport and Education was created by Brazilian Olympic medalist, Ana Moser, and is a place where children, young people and adults from the community go to join sports activities.
The school supply kits were assembled by the HR team from the Santo André Plant and handed out in December 2018 and February 2019 for students returning to classes. The backpacks were stuffed with supplies including pencils, pens, erasers, rulers, dictionaries and notebooks.
This initiative is part of our global corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, Our Way to Serve, falling under the ‘People’ Priority Area, which seeks to promote an inclusive and accessible education for all.
