Bridget Neal wins ‘40 Under 40’ Award from Nashville Business Journal

Bridget Neal, President, Commercial off-the-road (OTR), was recently named among the Nashville Business Journal's 2018 40 Under 40 Award winners. This class marks the 10th year the Nashville Business Journal has hosted this program, which celebrates 40 professionals under the age of 40 for their excellence in business and contributions to their communities.

Bridget joined Bridgestone Americas in 2002 as a supply planning and sourcing engineer and is now president of the company's OTR business. Bridget is the first female business unit president at Bridgestone and was selected to be included in the company's first global networking development class, connecting her with Bridgestone professionals across the world.

After telling her second-grade teacher she wanted to be president when she grew up, the teacher responded that Bridget probably meant First Lady because she was a girl, and boys were president. Bridget replied that she would be the first female president. Although not exactly as she thought at age 7, Bridget is proud to say that 31 years later, she became the first female business unit president within her company.

Bridget and the other award winners were honored at an awards dinner at the Music City Center. We are so proud of Bridget and her well-earned recognition!
