Firestone Building Products employees partner with Northern Kentucky Hunger Relief to provide meals

Firestone Building Products Employees volunteer Northern kentucky hunger relief

On Saturday, August 18, Firestone Building Products (FSBP) Florence Plant employees joined forces with members of the American Legion Post 203 to pack meals for Northern Kentucky Hunger Relief. More than 50 volunteers, including employees and their families, worked in five production lines to put together 25,920 meals that will be distributed to families in need in Northern Kentucky. The team worked for four hours to surpass their goal of packing 22,000 meals and had volunteers ranging in age from 2 to 77.

Nearly one in six people struggle with hunger in Kentucky. The Northern Kentucky Hunger Relief is a nonprofit organization that partners with two national food supply organizations, Kids Against Hunger and The Outreach Program, to meet this need by distributing nutritionally fortified meals through the support of volunteers and donations.

Thank you to our Florence Plant employees for all they do to demonstrate Our Way to Serve and support the community in which they live, work and play.
