Autumn Kahwaji Elected President of Tire & Rim Association
Bridgestone Americas teammate Autumn Kahwaji recently was elected President of the Tire and Rim Association, Inc. (TRA) for the 2017 term. The TRA Is the standardizing body for the U.S. tire, rim, valve and allied parts industry.
Autumn, who is the first female President in the history of the TRA, has been with Bridgestone for more than 20 years and currently is Manager of Technical Standards for the Industry Standards, Regulations and Compliance team in the Quality Division. She is based in Akron at the Americas Technical Center (ATC).
Autumn has been an active participant in TRA committees and subcommittees on behalf of Bridgestone since 2010, and has served as Chair of the Technical Advisory Committee and the Standards Committee and well as on subcommittees in past years.
The TRA was founded in 1903 and its primary purpose is to establish and circulate interchangeability standards for tires, rims, valves and allied parts. It is open to all companies offering product for sale in the U.S.
