GCR & Speedco Exhibit at the Great American Trucking Show

GCR Tires & Service (GCR) and Speedco recently exhibited at the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in Dallas. GATS is one of the nation's largest trucking expos with 500+ exhibitors catering to the heavy and medium duty truck industry. Held each August in Dallas, the three-day event also features a variety of information seminars for commercial owner-operators and small fleets.

GCR and Speedco teammates were on site to educate show attendees about the importance of tire maintenance while also demonstrating technology designed to increase uptime and improve safety.

The newly implemented Tire Assessment from GCR was one of the many services highlighted at the show. This innovative evaluation provides a standardized method for checking a customer's full vehicle, at every wheel position, for vulnerabilities such as irregular tire wear, mismatched tread depths and more.

Speedco continued to showcase its quick tire and service solutions that help keep truckers on the road. Speedco recently launched an all-inclusive battery service program at all locations that includes free battery testing and the addition of Interstate Batteries© to the service center's product offering.

The GCR and Speedco teams participated in several radio interviews at the show. GCR President John Vasuta spoke to Red Eye Radio – a station for truckers that reaches more than 706,000 weekly listeners nationwide – about the GCR Tire Assessment and other ways GCR delivers on its brand promise of Genuine, Complete, Reliable. In a separate interview with the show, Katie Allen, Senior Marketing Manager, Speedco, highlighted the company's battery services and plans for growth. Katie also participated in a live interview with SiriusXM show Freewheelin'. SiriusXM's Road Dog News also hosted a live interview with GCR Director of Operations Jason Evans and Vice President of Sales Brian Cunningham. Both shows run on the Road Dog Trucking channel, which reaches a weekly unique subscriber base of 1,098,100.

Two-time Olympian and four-time medalist Cullen Jones also made a special appearance at the GCR and Speedco booth to celebrate Bridgestone's support of the Olympic Movement and its Worldwide TOP Olympic Partnership. Appearing just five days after the conclusion of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the Team Bridgestone athlete helped share Bridgestone's passion for performance and service while signing autographs and taking photos with show attendees.

More than 50,000 owner-operators and fleet executives attended this year's show. Congratulations to our GCR and Speedco teammates for demonstrating that the Boss is #1 at Bridgestone!
