This section space has been provided for a 250 word or less essay as to why you or your Nominee should receive the Award. This essay should state why you or your Nominee meets any or all of the following criteria:
(1) Has overcome adversity in achieving their personal goals or dreams
(2) Has promoted community service by advocating youth sports, excellence in academics for young athletes, or has enabled underprivileged youth to partake in sports
(3) Has made a significant difference in the lives of young athletes in one or more roles as a coach, official, administrator, mentor, sponsor, booster or any other capacity.
It is important that you give as much detail as possible about what your nominee has achieved which makes them stand out against others and make it clear if the achievement is in one area or in a number of different areas. Also, please feel free to mail additional information, including news clips or any other information that you think would help demonstrate why you feel your nominee is worthy of the Bridgestone Mark Messier Youth Leadership Award |
